The project for the neighborhood Civic Centre in the Garden “The tree library” in Milan, consists of an octagonal pavilion which is spread on two floors. The glass facades on all sides, punctuated by deep pillars, give to the manufactured lightness, transparency and permeability. Two bands coated with a reflecting material reduce to the maximum the presence of the pavilion, camouflaging during the day and turning it into a glowing lantern at night. The structure is made of wood. The building will be in the category NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) thanks to the choice of materials, the use of technologies for the production of energy and the optimization of energy performance.
